　　Developments of technology are causing environmental problems. Some people think the solution is that everyone accepts a simpler life, while others believe that technology can solve these problems. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

　　开头第一句话使用了主语从句，其实它的作用除了替代后面过长的主语以外，还有一个功能就是表示强调。

If residents chose other modes of transport(这个用法我们其实在高中就已经学习过了，也就是虚拟语气，但是需要注意时态，我们一般主句都会比状语从句推后一个时态，也就是大家常说的“主将从现”), like buses or subways, this serious condition would be alleviated to a large extent. However, in my opinion, this policy would be very unpopular with some people, especially those living in the suburb, who do need to travel on roads.

　　While it is undeniable that an individual’s behavior has a profound effect on the environment(while引导的状语从句，主要有3种用法，1.表示正在做某事;2.表示让步，“尽管”的意思;3.表示转折，也就是“but”的意思，那么这里是什么呢?), other people argue that the improvement in technology can tackle some problems in turn. For example, the technology today is available to produce electric cars that would be both quieter and cleaner to use(这就是我们常用的定语从句，其实大家可以简单的认为定语其实就是一个形容词，用于修饰限定你想表达的东西，只不过比较长，成了一个句子). Persuading manufacturers and tourists to adopt this new technology would be a more effective strategy for improving air quality fundamentally.

　　From my own perspective, in order to resolve the environmental issues caused by the technology, we should definitely integrate individual effort and environmental-friendly technologies, which may strengthen our surrounding to large extent. Apart from the above, it is essential to introduce related laws and regulations, including the strict fine and community service for the polluting behaviors. After doing so, the public and firms would realize the relevant responsibility and strictly follow the regulations.
