　　1.Do you think it is necessary to spend some money on celebrations?

　　It depends on an individual's view, situation and wealth of the family. But for most of us, we should consider our financial situation before spending. People sometimes spend a lot to have fun or to get recognition. This is acceptable, as long as the situation doesn’t bite you back in the future. If you’re in a straitened situation, you can have a simple meal with your family or friends. However, if you’re wealthy, spending money to treat your friends or acquaintances during the celebration can be a boon. This helps to socialize with other people and opens many avenues for profits and relationships. At the end of the day, happiness is everything.

　　2.How much time do people need to prepare celebrations?

　　It depends on the purpose and the scale of the celebration. Most celebrations are about weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. Wedding ceremonies are generally the grandest occasion for most of us, so they take the most time to prepare. As far as I know, preparations for Chinese weddings should be on track half a year before the day of the event. On the other hand, to celebrate birthdays, you can pick up the phone and call a restaurant to book a table just one day before, or just buy some food, take it home and spend a simple night in, which is completely impromptu. No plan is needed.

　　3.How do people celebrate their personal events?

　　The young generation are used to celebrating birthdays with lots of friends, for example, throwing a party. They spend a lot of time chatting about college, laughing, making fun of their teachers and playing jokes on some of their classmates. For couples, the celebration of an anniversary is more personal than a birthday party. Generally, they have a special dinner at home, light candles and watch a movie together.

　　4.What personal events do people usually celebrate?

　　People celebrate on the day of their wedding anniversaries, birthdays and their first day in the college. We celebrate our birthdays because we’ve travelled a great distance on the calendar, and we’ve completed another revolution around the sun in our vehicle called earth. Couples celebrate their wedding anniversaries because that’s the day they took the oath to take great care of each other every day they spend together. It’s also worth celebrating the first day of college because maybe it’s the happiest day of your college life. It depends on the intention.
