雅思大作文范文：政府投资艺术家

雅思大作文题目：

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Write about the following topic:

Some people think that the government should provide assistance to all kinds of artists including painters, musicians, poets. However, other people think that is a waste of money.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write at least 250 words.

【题目解析】

题目大意：有些人认为政府应该资助各种类型的艺术家，其他人认为这是浪费金钱。讨论两种观点并且提出你自己的想法。

题型特点：明确表明对观点的态度并提出切题的原因。

本文论文推进：开头段引入讨论，表明立场。让步段先说明有人认为政府资助艺术家无法带来实质性的回报，而后立论段强调政府资助有利于满足大众艺术追求，也同时能够推动艺术产业的发展进步。结尾重申观点。

【写作思路】

开头段：政府预算分配一直是大众关心的话题。有些人认为政府应该提供财政援助给艺术家，也有人认为这是一种浪费。我认为前者更加合理。

让步段：诚然，政府资助艺术家被普遍认为是浪费金钱，因为大众很难因此获得实质回报。对比于其他基础性的重要领域，比如教育医疗等，政府对于艺术家的经济支持很难实质性地解决民生问题。考虑到政府财政有限，提供给艺术家经济援助，而不投入足够资金到其他重要领域，不可避免地会引发大众不满。

立论段：但是，我认为提供给艺术家经济援助是合理的。一方面，政府应该承担满足大众精神追求的责任。随着生活水平的提高，大众追求的不只是物质满足，更是富足的精神生活，所以政府应该分配补贴给艺术家来保证他们创作好的作品。一旦他们的经济负担减轻了，艺术家就会创作更多具有创造性的艺术作品，比如图画、音乐和诗歌等，而非被利润驱使，大众也会因此获得精神愉悦。另一方面，政府应该花钱促进文化产业发展，获得世界认可。因为不同艺术形式共同组成了当地文化，受资助的艺术家们通过贡献艺术作品，保持了艺术产业的丰富性，也因此让本土文化产业蓬勃发展。

结尾段：总的来说，尽管政府的确需要平衡不同方面，我认为艺术家仍旧需要来自政府的经济援助，考虑到对于个人和社会的积极影响。

【参考范文】

The allocation of budget from the local authorities has been a public concern. Some suppose that the financial assistance from the government should be used to support artists, while others claim that it is a waste of money. From my perspective, the former idea is more reasonable.

Admittedly, the governmental funding on artists is widely perceived as a waste since the subsidies can hardly bring tangible benefits to the public. Compared with other fundamental priorities, such as education and medical care, the government financially supporting artists is not likely to essentially address livelihood issues. Considering the limited state budget, offering financial aid to painters, musicians and poets, without putting sufficient investments on other vital areas, may inevitably arouse public dissatisfaction.

However, from my point of view, the financial assistance provided for all kinds of artists is justified. For one thing, the government is supposed to shoulder the responsibility to satisfy public mental pursuit. With the improvement of people’s living standards, what the public actually pursue is not only material satisfaction but also enriched spiritual life, which means the local authorities should allocate subsidies to artists to ensure the production of fine arts. Once the financial burden on artists can be alleviated, more creative paintings, music and poems can be delivered rather than those profit-driven ones, and the audiences can accordingly gain spiritual pleasure. For another, the government should also spend money on promoting the development of culture industry and gaining recognition around the world. Due to the fact that different artistic expressions comprise the local cultural heritage, the funded artists can collectively contribute to maintaining the richness of art industry through dedicating to artworks and therefore local culture industry will boom and flourish.

Given the arguments above, although the government does need to balance between different aspects, I suppose artists deserve to be supported financially by the local authorities considering the positive impacts on the individuals and the whole society.
