新东方在线雅思为同学们整理了雅思大作文范文之长时间工作带来的收益和问题，供考生参考学习。

雅思大作文题目：

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Write about the following topic:

Countries with long average working time are more economically successful, but they are also likely to suffer from negative social consequences.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write at least 250 words.

【题目解析】

题目大意：平均工作时间长的国家在经济上更成功，但它们也可能遭受负面的社会后果。你在多大程度上同意或不同意这个观点？

题型特点：本题属于同意与否题型。考生须针对问题中的观点进行评价，且题目中包含两个部分，可以分别评论。

写作思路

首段：引出话题，同义替换题目中的观点，并且给出自己的观点是“不完全同意”

主体一段：论述不同意的部分，即“工作时间长不一定能带来经济成功”。从两个角度论述，即“工人过度工作会降低工作效率延缓经济”和“很多公司发放员工休假福利的事实佐证”。

主体二段: 论述同意的部分，即“工作时间长会带来一定社会问题”，举了两个例子，即“孩子的自闭和青少年犯罪”和“自杀率升高”。

结尾段：对观点和全文要点进行总结，强调自己的观点是“对雇员施加更长的工作时间是雇主和国家的一个轻率的决定，因为这不仅可能导致经济失败，而且还可能产生影响公民健康的潜在社会问题。”

【参考范文】

Since the advent of industrialization, the issue of optimizing labor utilization and working time has garnered significant attention among economists and sociologists. Some argue that countries with longer average working hours tend to achieve greater economic success but also face potential negative social consequences. From my perspective, I do not fully agree with this viewpoint.

Although it is commonly asserted that increased input positively correlates with productivity, requiring employees to work longer hours does not necessarily guarantee substantial economic development. This is because overworked employees often experience diminished work efficiency, leading to instances of misremembering guidelines or miscalculating data. Such outcomes can result in financial losses for companies and, in the long run, hinder the progress of entire industries.

Furthermore, beyond economic ramifications, longer working hours can give rise to various social issues. For instance, if more parents consistently work from day to night, they are compelled to sacrifice valuable time with their families, particularly their young children. Consequently, these circumstances can lead to social isolation and a lack of socialization among young individuals due to insufficient parental care, potentially contributing to increased rates of autism or even youth crime. From the employees' perspective, chronic work-related stress resulting from overtime can pose a significant threat to their well-being, encompassing not only physical ailments but also mental disorders such as depression and insomnia. Consequently, prolonged mental stress and strain are likely to contribute to higher suicide rates, exerting adverse effects on social stability.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that imposing longer working hours upon employees represents an imprudent decision, as it may not only lead to economic failure but also give rise to potential social issues impacting the health of citizens.
