　　Describe a person who encouraged you to achieve your goal

　　Who the person is

　　How he/she encouraged you

　　What goal you achieved

　　And explain how you feel about this person

　　The person who played a crucial role in encouraging me to achieve my goal is my former high school teacher, Nan…Miss Nan. She was not just an educator but a mentor to me during my final year of high school.

　　Miss Nan encouraged me through her unique blend of strictness and genuine concern for her students. She recognized my potential in mathematics early on and pushed me to excel beyond the standard curriculum. She arranged for additional resources, spent extra hours after school tutoring me, and constantly motivated me with her belief in my capabilities. Whenever I felt overwhelmed or doubted my abilities, she was there to reassure me with her steadfast encouragement.

　　The specific goal I achieved, with her encouragement, was winning a national mathematics competition. This was a goal I had considered far beyond my reach until Miss Nan intervened. Her encouragement didn’t just focus on academic preparation; she also coached me on handling pressure and maintaining focus during competitions.

　　My feelings towards Miss Nan are a mix of immense gratitude and respect. Her encouragement went beyond typical teacher responsibilities; she invested personal time and showed a genuine interest in my personal and academic growth. This not only helped me achieve my goals but also boosted my self-confidence immensely. I feel indebted to her for seeing a potential in me that I hadn't seen in myself and for her unwavering support in helping me realize it. She epitomizes what it means to be a truly inspiring teacher and mentor. Since I knew her she has had several hair styles – I have liked them all.
