You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The charts below show the percentage of water used by different sectors in Sydney, Australia, in 1997 and 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

【题目解析】

这两个图表显示了1997年和2007年澳大利亚悉尼不同部门用水量的百分比。这个双饼图的数据都比较好描述，通过两个图的对比，能够非常容易地对数据进行分组，即用水量增长和下降各为一组，分别放在主体段落中；整个两幅图也很明显看出Food Industry用水量一直是最高的。

【写作思路】

开头段： 改写题目

综述段：Food industry用水量的占比在这十年中一直都是最高的，service industry 和 household sectors在这十年里增幅较大，在2007年占到整体用水量的一半。

主体段二： Food industry，manufacturing和building industry用水量的占比都在减少

主体段三： service industry和house hold sectors用水量的占比都在增加

【参考范文】：

The pie charts above give information about the distribution of total water consumed by various sectors in Sydney, Australia between 1997 and 2007.

Overall, the ten years witnessed that the food industry consumed the most significant proportion of total water. It is obvious that the service industry and household sectors dramatically expanded their water consumption, together accounting for nearly half of the total water usage in 2007.

From 1997 to 2007, the food industry approximately made up half of the water used in Sydney, decreasing from 48% to 41%. Meanwhile, the manufacturing, which earlier used 15% of the total water in 1997, diminished its water usage to 11% in 2007. The water consumption ratio of the building industry was minimal, dipping slightly from 5% to 2%.

On the contrary, there were two sectors which experienced a dramatic expansion in the proportion of total water usage. The service industry saw a dramatic increase from 13% to 25%, contributing to the second-largest amount of water in total. This was followed by the figures for household chores, which rose marginally by 2%, from 19% to 21%.
