2024年5月雅思口语新题part2&3: 描述一张你喜欢的照片范文

　　Describe a picture/photograph of you that you like.

　　You should say:

　　Where it was taken/drawn

　　When it was taken/drawn

　　Who took/drew it

　　And explain how you felt about it

　　One of my most cherished photographs was taken at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan Province, China, renowned for its pillar-like rock formations that inspired the floating mountains in the movie "Avatar." This particular picture was captured in October 2021 during a family trip. My sister, an avid photographer, took the photo using her DSLR camera.

　　In the photograph, I am standing on a wooden viewing platform, surrounded by the towering sandstone pillars shrouded in a thin mist. The time was just after light rain in the late afternoon, which added a mystical quality to the light and made the colors of the forest pop — vibrant greens and the earthy tones of the rocks seemed almost surreal. I am caught mid-laugh, looking off to the side where my father had just slipped slightly on the damp wood, making a funny comment about his less-than-graceful dance moves.

　　This photo is particularly special to me for various reasons. Firstly, it captures the beauty and majesty of one of China’s most incredible natural landscapes — a place I had dreamed of visiting since I was a child. Secondly, it reminds me of the joy and laughter shared with my family on that trip, a memory that becomes even more significant as we all grow older and live apart.

　　Every time I look at this photograph, I feel a deep connection to my cultural heritage and a poignant reminder of the importance of family. The natural beauty of Zhangjiajie, combined with the personal memories associated with the image, fills me with a sense of nostalgia and happiness. It’s a snapshot not just of a place, but of feelings, relationships, and a particular, irreplaceable moment in time.
